I volunteer at Gabriel House of Care and cannot tell you how rewarding it is to be able to talk to; listen to; or just be there for the caregivers and patients that are away from their home, family and friends in order to obtain treatment. When I leave I have a feeling that I might have helped just ONE person who is having a bad day or is really ill. The care givers and patients are so grateful for the communities that help provide dinners and bring them in to lessen the burden on the caregivers due to the excessive stress they already are under.
