My honey and I came to TN from RI to volunteer for The Sanctuary after learning about it from a local, volunter-representative at a Christmas Fair in our town last year. We traveled in October 2019. The whole process from application to acceptance was handled professionally. The Staff was extremely knowledgeable and informative. We could sense the "love" they had for the elephants. The video presentation was informative. The reception center was well-laid out and provided a great "intro" to the day's events. We cleared the fence line, made enrichment toys, and got to see 5 of the elephants. Just knowing a day of our time made a difference in the lives of these precious elephants who are visibly happy and exceptionally well-cared for at The Elephant Sanctuary, was very rewarding. We are thankful for the experience and, ultimately, that this Sancutary exists. We'll be back in two years to do it again. Theresa O'Toole, Tim Clark
