Vet Tix has helped me return to my community feeling included. Feeling like somebody really cares that I have returned from my military service and need a helping hand getting reaclamated to life without the rigors of war looming over my head.
Without Vet Tix I just wouldn't reach out and continue to isolate myself. So, in reality, they are a great therapeutic tool to being a regular American citizen.

Finding myself clinging to a rock climbing wall a good 20+ feet up, I realized in a light-bulb moment my fears and anxiety had vanished. The Staff at High Altitude Fitness had guided me with truly caring encouragement as they shared their passion to convince me to take the first hand hold. Then the first step. Then the next step. Before long this big old Vietnam Vet got lost in the joy of accomplishing something I never thought I would or could ever do! I had achieved a level of positive growth so sorely missing in my life. Achieve Tahoe had given me an oppertunity to challenge myself without any pressure or rules. They presented me an oppertunity with no strings attached. I finally achieved a dream even if it wasn't Half Dome or El Capitan. Along with the younger Veterans with me, we learned more than rock climbing, we learned there are Folks that care and want to be a part of our healing. Something Vets from my era are not used to receiving. It's humbling but, oh so rewarding to start to grow after all these years. Thank you, Achieve Tahoe.
