Review for Christine Maries Star Riders, Monterey, CA, USA
My 15 year old autistic son has been participating in the Star Riders program for over three years now. He looks forward to this Saturday activity each week. "Go horseback riding" he will say to me with happy anticipation. Initially I though this was just going to be a pony ride, but happily I was wrong. The expert instructors have taught him balance, self esteem, and now he rides by himself using the reins to guide the horse around the ring. He even participated in a horse show last year and took away a first place trophy in his class. The big smile on his face told the whole story. As students get older they are able to help care for the horses and have a since of accomplishment. Thank you Star Riders for all you have done for my son.
