Orphan Acres, Inc has been a major part of my life for three years now. The owner/operator, Brent, puts an incredible amount of work into not only the horses' physical care and well-being, but also to their emotional status and healing from previous trauma or neglect. I'm continuously impressed by the dedication Brent and all the regular volunteers show in caring for all these horses. I have learned so much about equine health, care, behavior, herd dynamics, and the Human-Animal Bond through my time with the amazing equine residents of Orphan Acres, Inc.
