When my son was hit by a car and suffered a severe brain injury I was at a loss. I didn't know anything about a brain injury. I google help in our area and found the SDBIF. They were so pleasant when I called asking questions for aide and knowledge. Just listening to the concerned voice on the other end made me feel like I wasn't alone in this journey. When my son was able, we attended the annual brain injury walk. Love poured out from this event, seeing others further along or some a little behind my son's progress gave me such hope and happiness for our new brain injured life. I would recommend this nonprofit to those effected as well as others who just want to learn more about brain injuries and give support to the community.
