Review for Californians For Disability Rights Foundation A Nonprofit Corp, Sacramento, CA, USA
CDRF is a great organization and it has helped many people with disAbilities gain more independence by granting scholarships to students with disAbilities. We also publish the "New World" which chronicles advances in the world of disAbility since the early 70's! We helped change attitudes of the community and government towards disAbilities and people with disAbilities. It is something that needs to keep on happening.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Yes, it is great to see people grow in their independence and confidence from scholarships and knowledge gained from the New World.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Spread the word wider and get more donations to come in so we can offer more scholarships and publish the New World more often.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Knowing that what I have done has made a difference.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Hard working and dedicated to getting the job done.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
We could really make a difference in the lives of many people with disAbilities! Advertise our organization & scholarships; expand our program to include outreach programs to newly injured people; educate people about their rights &avaliable;resoures, etc
Ways to make it better...
We could get more members and scholarship money.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Lack of information for people with disAbilities. Many people become disAbled and are isolated and have no resources or network of people who know about disAbilities. CDRF can fill this void, but it would take lots of advertising which costs $$$.
One thing I'd also say is that...
We all need CDRF but you may not know it until you're disAbled! So take a proactive step and donate now! THANK YOU!
