I am a foreign missionary to Malawi from the Hughes Road church of Christ in Madison, Alabama. I have had the good pleasure of working with Mr. Richard (Dick) Stephens for at least the last six (6) years. The Republic of Malawi is among the ten (10) poorest nations on the planet. This organization has almost single-handedly done more civic, social and religious good then any group I’m familiar with. I know for a fact, this nonprofit have saved many lives through some terrific healthcare and food sustainability projects. They are number one in my opinion. I just had to tell their story. Larry

Good afternoon Mr. & Mrs. Stevens,

This is Larry Vinson. I am a preacher of the Gospel of Christ, and I serve as a missionary to Malawi. I have been living and working in Malawi since 2016. I have had the good pleasure of coming across your organizations good works in my field of travel. I was in the village of Dzama where I met a retired Gospel preacher who had lost a foot. It was due to an infection from what appeared to be a simple cut. I discovered that your organization provided him with a mobility unit that enables him to freely maneuver through his village. This is an experience he has not engaged in for many years. He is very thankful for your organizations generosity.

I was also informed that your organization had built a warehouse to store some critical items needed for life sustainment of the Republics citizens. A friend invited me to the recent grand opening of your new warehouse facility in Lilongwe. Unfortunately, I was not able to attend the warehouse’s dedication because of a prior engagement. However, your Executive Director in Malawi, Mr. Wilson Tembo gave me a personalized guided tour of that facility. That facility is impressive even be Western standards. Mr. Tembo explained some of your organizations plans for future service for the citizens of Malawi. Those plans were also impressive. Your organization has done what so many service groups, in my opinion, fail to do. That is, to have an orderly plan for future growth. You purchased enough physical property to assure that future needs can be accommodated at this site. I have been told, that in ten (10) years, the population of Malawi is expected to double. That would mean, your group would be aiding a population of more than thirty five million (35,000,000). Please keep up the good works. This country is greatly blessed by your organizations efforts and will be forever grateful because of your vision for the future.
