I saw first-hand the great work of Haiti Micah Project when I was volunteering at an organization next door in Mirebalais. The children in the HMP orphanage were incredibly kind, curious, and motivated to improve their lives through the education and resources provided to them by HMP's programs. I still stay in contact with some of the children I became friends with while I was visiting, and I know HMP has done everything in their power to not only provide them with basic needs but also support them through vocational training (even sending a few of the older kids to university.) The organization spends all the money it can on its programs: for the children at the orphanage and surrounding areas through its food security and training projects. They are also eager to learn and update their practices to better serve their beneficiaries. I have full confidence in the organization and know that they put every donor dollar to good use.
