As a foundation executive, I was a donor for several yers becoming a Board member. In my 10+ years in philanthropy, I have found that Global Press Institute (Global Press) is one of the most innovate and impactful organizations that our foundation has ever supported.

In addition to their model that trains local female journalists to produce high quality news, unlike most news today, theirs is fair, balanced - and therefore makes a difference. As a result of Global Press reporting, laws have changed, Constitutions have been amended, and corrupt officials charged and tried. I like to think of Global Press as 'news as it should be.'
