Review for Under My Wing Avian Refuge AKA Under My Wing AKA UMWAR, Wantage, NJ, USA
Paula and her husband saved my life and my birds by taking them in when I could no longer care for them. They are happier than they ever have been in their whole lives and it all because of this wonderful organization. The best thing is that Paula never made me feel ashame to surrender my birds and encourages me to visit them and still be part of their lives. She is an angel that deserves much more awareness in the publics eye.

My heart. I can now sleep at night knowing my two beautiful birds who I adopted and who have had a rough life are living in birdie Nirvana now with Paula and receiving love and great care and that I can still be part of their lives
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Find a way to give them more publicity so they would have more donations and volunteers.I wish some one would do a documentary on this organization so all could see how great they are
Review for Under My Wing Avian Refuge AKA Under My Wing AKA UMWAR, Wantage, NJ, USA
Under my wings saved my life. When I had to give up my two parrots because my dog was dying from renal disease I was blessed with finding Under my wings. Paula and her husband and volunteers have given my birds a wonderful home providing them with love and nurturing and also good health care and do not ask much in return. Paula encourages us to visit them so I do not feel like I have lost my babies and I have never seen these birds happier. She has provided a sanctuary like no other for these wonderful birds and many others who have been abused and neglected. I do not know what I would do without her or what the world would do without this organization

This is a wonderful rescue group which deserves to be noticed by the public and receive support and donations as they save the lives of many birds who would have no where to go and now flourish including my two parrots that they took in. God bless them
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
his organization is wonderful . The only changes I would wish for them is more financial support and volunteers.I hope that more people are made aware of this wonderful organization. I know they provide a lot for the birds out of their own pockets.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
They provide such wonderful care for the birds including my two birds that i could no longer keep yet I always feel I am still part of their lives because of paula. She gives so much and asks for very little. This is one of the most wonderful groups ever
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Wonderful caring loving people who are dedicated to providing nurturing and good health care to the birds. They provide such great stimulation for the birds and give so much of their own time and money
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Continue to take in more birds who are in desperate needs of a safe haven and educate people about birds as pets and the care they require. Too many parrots are abused or bounced around because people do not really know how much care they require
Ways to make it better...
Nothing could make my experience better. I just wish I lived closer
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
They definitely need more funding and donations as I know that Paula and her husband sacrifice a lot to provide the funds for food toys and health care out of their own pockets. The public needs to be aware of them and hopefully some wealthy donors
One thing I'd also say is that...
They are the most wonderful organization. They are unique and caring and make a big difference in the birds lives and also in their owners lives like myself who could no longer keep my birds. Once again I hope that some wealthy donors would support them
