We are always looking for ways to let our teachers know that they are amazing and go far and above teaching at a Title 1 school. The challenges they face every day are much harder than in any other school setting, yet these teachers choose to remain and work with our students when the salary for easier teaching assignments is exactly the same. Roots and Wings gives us an added bonus to our hardest working teachers. The prizes they provide are great, but its Ted's enthusiasm and the amazing production that they put on in giving the awards in front of the students that really makes it special. We really are hoping to have Roots and Wings as a partner in education as well, when we start an after school tutorial phonics reading program in the near future. Roots and Wings has given an outside the box partnership that really serves an important purpose for our school.
