My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Global Links, Pittsburgh, PA, USA
I have been involved with Global Links almost since its inception. I had a wonderful opportunity to travel to Cuba in 1997 as part of a GL team. As a member of the Board for over ten years I have seen the development and growth of this unique NGO and can attest to their most worthwhile work in developing countries. They provide hundreds of tons of surplus medical supplies, equipment and medicines to the poorest of the poor. Global Links saves lives !!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
developing countires. I have visited hospitals in Cuba on 4 different trips and have visited the hospitals and clinics where GL has made a difference, and saved lives!
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
probably keep things the same as they are.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the integrity and dedication of the wonderful team that makes this Global Links work. I am proud to be associated and a contributor to such an outstanding team.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
simply outstanding! Their dedication to the mission statement and their efforts in humanitarian services.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
build its own warehouse and office complex. It could also expand its mission to additional countries.
Ways to make it better...
I could speak Spanish in some of the countries I visited in which Global Links has made a difference.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
the ability to continue to garner surplus medical supplies from area hospitals, and ensure that responsible people are on the front line in developing countries engendering strong relationships.
One thing I'd also say is that...
I have never been associated with, nor knew of, any NGO that is as effective and dedicated as Global Links.
