Review for High Fives Nonprofit Foundation, Truckee, CA, USA
The High Fives Foundation has been the most powerful force to enter my life since my crash. I couldn't be prouder, more energized or motivated to call myself a #highfivesathlete. When first making contact with Roy and Steve in Nov 2016 after the dust had settled from my injury I felt like I had found gravity again. Fast forward to winter 2023 and I find myself having conquered many challenges, spending time in the outdoors and finding stability in community & simple living. I am inspired by the Ohana daily and am excited to uplift the community as I pursue living life once more.
High Fives had directly helped me with therapeutic services, PT expenses, adaptive sports equipment, community, experiences and so much more to get me living life again.
For anyone going through a spinal cord injury the mental trials are taxing and the brightnesss that High Fives has brought to my life has completely changed the game. THANK YOU High Fives for all that you do for the mountain sports community and more importantly for SCI awareness! Charging forward and grinding!
Review for High Fives Nonprofit Foundation, Truckee, CA, USA
The High Fives Foundation has quite simply saved me. They have provided funding for countless sessions of physical and occupational therapy to help me recover from a freak ski crash in May 2017. They've also shared their wisdom, direction and infrastructure to help me navigate the complex world of Neurological injuries. They have stood by me, motivated me and given me hope by helping me combat the intense pain that has come with my injuries as well. The community, healing network and overall energy that High Fives brings to the lives of their athletes is unsurpassed and is a model not just for the Non-profit space but our healthcare system as a whole. Truly the safety net of the outdoor sports world. Thank you, High Fives.
