Review for Coloma Crescent Players Inc, Coloma, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The Olde Coloma theatre is a valuable asset to our community. It give many people the opportunity to discover and nurture their creative spirit. It is rich in historical value, not only with it's gold rush education program and sharing a wonderful part of American history in melodrama, the main building was built for the World Expo in San Fransisco in 1939 then moved to Coloma in the early 1970's. My children have been involve in many productions there and it has been awesome to watch them blossom. The confidence, public speaking skills and theatrical creativity that they have gathered there will benefit them all the days for their lives.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The patrons that attend leave with smiles on their faces. The actors grow creatively while nurturing an important part of American theatrical history.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Foster more/new community partnerships and support. In these tough economic time The Olde Coloma Theatre is finacially struggling like many Nonprofits.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Seeing my children blossom on stage!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

team players, hard working and dedicated.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

expand it's community theatre programming and make many technical upgrades.

Ways to make it better...

it had a larger volunteer base.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

finances and keeping the community interested in live theatre in this technological age.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every six months

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010

Role:  Volunteer & I have volunteered at the Olde Coloma theatre with parking and concessions.
