I am a very happy donor to a cause that has helped so many people. The group has a real presence in Baja, Mexico that started as a feeding program for school children and has grown into a teaching community center and now a thriving medical clinic for those who really do need it the most. It is a joy to go down at Christmas for their annual party and be a part of putting smiles on the faces of children as they receive a meal and a gift.
The work being done in Burundi with the Batwa people has changed the community served in so many ways - including child mortality rates, children being able to now go to school, essential drinking water and a roof over their heads - all with the guidance of the local people themselves. This leads to sustainability, acceptance and changed lives.
