I started volunteering with 15-40 in 2012, a couple of years after I finished treatment for breast cancer. I was diagnosed at age 25 with advanced and aggressive breast cancer. This organization spreads cancer awareness by focusing on the importance of early cancer detection. The idea is that if people focusing on knowing their own bodies and knowing what their "great" feels like, they aware more in tuned to when things aren't going that great, and can contact a doctor. You should feel empowered to call a doctor after having such The 15-40 not only has great messaging, it has helped many cancer survivors turn their negative diagnosis into a positive experience by giving back.
