I always feel so fortunate and blessed for seizing the opportunity to connect with AIWR and some of its phenomenal and dedicated mentors almost a decade ago. Over the years, I have learned so much through AIWR’s Mentor Program. The program has significantly helped me improve my career and advance my education. I am so grateful for all the things I have learned from AIWR’s mentors. Especially, I’d like to thank my long-time mentor, Gayle Zilber, for all her tireless efforts, patience, dedication, and encouragement. Also, I’d like to extend my sincere gratitude to Lisa Herb for establishing such an amazing organization and her motivation to empower women in Afghanistan and other developing countries. I have seen firsthand positive impacts of AIWR’s programs on women’s life in Afghanistan. I am very proud that I played a small role in identifying and introducing some great mentees to the Mentor Program, and I’d always be willing and happy to support and assist AIWR’s programs in any way I could.
