I have worked with the John Austin Cheley Foundation for 10 years and currently serve as Board Chair. JACF provides transformative experiences at residential summer camps for kids who could not otherwise afford to go. Camp is not a luxury. It’s essential. Camp gives kids a chance to be unplugged, in the outdoors, creating meaningful relationships and developing the confidence and perseverance they’ll need to be productive and happy adults. In this digital world of screen communication and isolation, camp is a must.
