Review for Jeannette Rankin Women's Scholarship Fund (JRF), Athens, GA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I am a junior at UC Berkeley and if it wasn't for the Jeannette Rankin Foundation supporting not only financially but encouraging me to continue my dream of obtaining a college degree. I know as a single parent that by obtaining a college education it not only benefits me and my son but increases my son's chances of not living in poverty. On top of that I get to be of service to my community and give back. Thank you so much for all that you do to support us women on our journey of college education.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

That I have received grants towards my college expenses over the last four years. If it wasn't for their support I don't know what I would have done. It definitely has alleviated a lot of financial stress allowing me to focus on my son and my studies.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I can't think of anything. They do so much right.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The sense of communnity of great women experience the joy of obtaining a college education.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Outstanding and supportive.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

help more women in the goals of obtaining a college degree. Might even open the doors of scholarships for graduate programs.

Ways to make it better...

Can't say anything becasue my experience has been great.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the possiblity of decreased donations in light of the U.S. economic crisis but I haven't personally experienced this from the organization.

One thing I'd also say is that...

thank you, thank you, thank you. You have made my dream possible and not only do I beneift but my son, Eli, is too.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

One time

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
