I had the honor of volunteering at Sanctuary One with 2 UCC churches from Portland and Vancouver. It was a mission trip for about a week. I had the best experience there. Having never been on any type of farm, it was a great time for me. The staff and the work they do for these animals and getting them adopted really touched my heart. The staff were all amazing. It was difficult for me to leave. I met my new dog there. I could not wait to bring my other dog down to meet Colonel. They got along great and he has become a valued member of my family.
