My sweet Lincoln received physical therapy (at home and in the pool), occupational therapy, some speech therapy, and services for the visually impaired, including visists from a teacher of the visually impaired (TVI) and orientation and mobility through Kids Who Count. We began services when he was only 5 months old and about to undergo surgery to amputate his right foot. For over two and a half years, wonderful therapists came into our home to teach me how I could better help him reach his developmental milestones. They helped me to adapt his environment to optimize the potential for him to succeed. They encouraged me and helped me to recognize the "inchstones" he was achieving along the way. We are so very grateful for our professional, yet loving therapists at Kids Who Count!
