I am not sure exactly when I found Food and Water Watch. I feel like they have been a part of my life forever. I am very concerned about Climate Change and I have actively participated in most of the events that F&WW plan. Locally, Eric Weltman, Alex Beauchamp and Laura Shindell are my contacts. They started "Call Cuomo Mondays", which has been very successful. We have kept the pressure on the governor by showing up at events that he is attending. He called us "fracktivists" in a state of the state speech. I don't think the fracking ban would have happened without F&WW. I am a volunteer and a monthly donor. One of the first events I attended was a trip to Dimock, PA. It was an eye opening look into the horrible results of fracking. Looking forward to marching with Food and Water Watch at the Climate Strike on Friday.
