This is my second year volunteering for PHS SPCA. Volunteering here has become a large part of my life, and I never seize to be impressed by how well things are organized for us. There are hundreds of volunteers, and we work together pretty much seamlessly, every day, all year long! This requires great coordination, very clear guidelines, rules, and practices.
I also really appreciate how the shelter is going the extra mile to always keep our experience positive, when in fact we're dealing with something very sad: homeless/neglected/injured animals. Simply put, I am grateful for the opportunity to do my part and not be heartbroken all the time. Great staff, great facilities, I feel very lucky to be here.
