I adopted my cat from PHS & SPCA and have worked in the past as a volunteer. The staff and team of volunteers are very committed to serving the animals and the public. The animals are well cared for until they are adopted, the volunteers are well trained and they also have classes and training for the public as well as outreach programs. We're lucky to have a dedicated organization like this in the bay area.
