Review for Casa Center for Positive Social Change, Phoenix, AZ, USA
I have had the priviledge of working with Casa as both a Prevention Specialist and as an Independent Contractor on and off for 10 years. The work Casa does is commendable. Thousands of children have learned how to recognize and report child sexual abuse. Many others have learned how to recognize the many forms of bullying that happen everyday, and how to get the help they need if they are victims of bullying. Perhaps the most important aspect of what Casa does these days is its focus on Social and Emotional Learning. Stephanie Orr recognized early on how important the concepts of SEL are and has worked tirelessly to help schools and community groups learn why SEL is so important, and how it can become a regular part of what they do.
More Feedback
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
working with students, parents, and faculty to implement Casa programs.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Ensure they had a steady stream of funding which would allow them to serve more community members and to find and keep top quality staff.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the opportunity to work with the dedicated Casa staff and to interact with a wide range of clients including children, parents, and schools.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Dedicated, professional, and always trying to go the extra mile.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
become a major force in bringing prevention based, and social and emotional learning programs to schools and community groups.
Ways to make it better...
It couldn't have been better - some of my best work experiences happened at Casa.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
The same challenge faced by most non-profits - the constant struggle to secure funding.
One thing I'd also say is that...
If I had a million dollars I'd trust it to Casa to use for the good of children, family, and community groups.

Sue - As always you are the best. These comments are terrific. We would not have reached these heights without you in teaching Casa's outstanding abuse and violence and bullying prevention programs alongside Casa's emotional intelligence programs to teach children, teens and adults optimal relationship skills and to decrease abuse.
