We got King as a kitten from Animal Welfare Friends as a Christmas gift for our daughter 5 years ago. She couldn’t take him with her to college and he got used to our home where he can go in and outside so he is a family cat. His favorite place to get some sun is on our deck, preferably on a lap. I believe he was found by an Animal Welfare volunteer at an abandoned barn, with no momma in sight. He has been a great companion to us and our other cat.
