I was fortunate to have the opportunity to be part of the group traveling
to Ethiopia with h2Empower in February- March,2019. We visited many places
and I was able to see first hand the good work they are doing,and to participate
in a part of it. They brought books to a school library, saw a classroom being
built from the funds that h2 Empower provided. They brought water to a school
that had none.
I participated by co-presenting a worksop in English for school teachers , and visiting the local university to speak with the students.
Helen Boxwill is the founder of h2Empower and has been dedicated for 17 years
traveling to Ethiopia and Burundi and bringing people on tours to help out.
It was evident that the people we visited held her in high esteem. She has made
many contacts over those years.
We experienced the hospitality of the people and were invited into homes
to share conversation and meals.We got a glimpse into the culture.
Helen understands what and where the needs are and works on addressing them. h2Empower makes a big difference in the lives of people,a difference that
will last for a lifetime through generations. I feel fortunate to have this opportunity.
