I have been involved with Community Seva since inception. First as a volunteer, and later as a board member. What makes this organization unique is the sheer passion of its founder and the incredible drive and big hearts of all the thousands of volunteers that it has attracted and retained over the past six years. In these busy times (especially in the SIlicon Valley), it is such a remarkable thing that weekend after weekend, Community Seva volunteers rise up at 4am and cook hot breakfasts and spend their weekend evenings cooking nutritious hot dinners to serve to the homeless. It is a delight to see children as young as 4 years old packing toothpaste into hygiene kits and to answer their questions about homelessness and how they can help those less fortunate!

As a board member, I have seen the organization evolve from inside out and can attest to the honesty, integrity and the sheer focus the entire leadership team has on making an impact on improving the lives of the homeless in the San Francisco Bay Area. We have much more to do and cannot think of a better team to do it with!
