Review for Sarama Animal Rescue Inc, West Babylon, NY, USA
Sarama Rescue is a top notch organization. I have never been able to work with the other rescues because they did not consider all animals. That is exactly why Sarama is so great, they are a vegan rescue. They are a rare gem among rescues. Their fundraisers never include things like "beef and beers" where cows are eaten, instead they had a vegan spaghetti dinner. They absolutely send the message that all beings are important. They also take animals that are the most difficult cases. They are loving and give everyone a chance. We have Sparkey, a 10 year old Chihuahua, abandoned by his person because she moved to a place where dogs were "not allowed", he is a scared little fellow who has a personality that needed some help. He came to the rescue with a shock collar. We immediately got rid of that and Laura offered behavioral training. He is coming along well. He has bonded with me and loves our cats. He is still afraid of the other dogs but it's a process. He is an example of Laura/Sarama's love and care for the ones who need extra help. He wouldn't have had a chance at a shelter or other rescues. This rescue offers animals the gift of time. Time to heal, time to learn to love again, time to lose their fear of people and time to overcome any issues. Laura has a heart of gold and her rescue is an excellent example of love in action. Sarama is the BEST!
