From the moment I walked into the Resale Shop five years ago, I knew I was in an extraordinary place with exceptional people. The volunteers of Assistance League of the Bay Area love to say YES. Yes, we will dress more children. Yes, we will provide more food for children that go hungry. Yes, we will prepare more young women and men for prom. Yes, we will provide adults reentering the workforce the proper clothing to do their job. And yes, we will provide Assault Survivor Kits to abuse victims. I have volunteered for one organization or another my entire life. Five years ago I joined Assistance League and began to work in their philanthropies. I have never worked ANYWHERE with a group that does so much that gives such immediate benefit to the receiver...and the giver. Amazing group and amazing work.
