Review for Filter Of Hope, Inc., Tuscaloosa, AL, USA
In the fall of 2017, I was introduced to Filter of Hope and became more aware of the water crisis that plagues our world. Such a simple filter demonstration (manure water turned into safe drinking water) intrigued me and peaked my interest to learn more about Filter of Hope and their mission.
I have been to numerous third world countries and have seen the effects contaminated water has on people and communities. Being a plumbing design engineer, I understand how important safe, clean water is to families and communities throughout our world.
I was very impressed with their solution for this global crisis and how offering the gift of water, both physically and spiritually to those in need was so simple, I felt the call to become more involved.
In the fall of 2018, I became an Ambassador for Filter of Hope, raising awareness of this global crisis as well as fundraising to supply filters for those in need.
My wife and I journeyed with Filter of Hope for the first time in July of 2019 to Cuba to distribute filters in local communities. Seeing children and adults take a drink of clean water and hearing the Gospel, sometimes for the first time ever, is a feeling that is very hard to put into words. It is an experience I soon will not forget. I look forward to my next trip and beyond with Filter of Hope.
They are very well organized with very passionate people, who believe in mission and are very good at what they do. It was a blessing to be part of something way bigger than myself.
It was truly an amazing experience and honor to team up with such a great organization that is literally changing the world we live in, one cup at a time.
