Review for Turpentine Creek Foundation Inc, Eureka Springs, AR, USA
Turpentine creek has changed my life as well as the lives for hundreds of captive exotic animals who did not choose to be a pet. As a true sanctuary, TCWR shares its mission to stop the exotic animal trade, stop the abuse, and to respect wild animals as they are, predators not pets. They do not buy, sell, breed, or trade and are completely hands off. The passion, dedication, and hard work for every staff member does not go unnoticed. I am so proud of this organization and how hard the fight to stop big cat abuse.
Review for Turpentine Creek Foundation Inc, Eureka Springs, AR, USA
Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge has completely changed my life, and also the lives of all the exotic animals they rescue from private owners, roadside zoos, and unregulated facilities that shut down. Their compassion, hard work, and dedication to rescue abused and neglected big cats and exotic animals is beyond expectations for a sanctuary. They go a step further to ensure that all animals are treated with respect, dignity, and are able to live a life of freedom.
TCWR is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and accredited sanctuary by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries. They are strictly no contact, and treat the animals as the wild predators they are. They also do not buy, sell, breed, or trade animals, and take full responsibility for all animals in their care. They provide exotic animals a second chance at life.
To see a big cat touch grass for the first time, that was once living in a dog crate do to lack of laws and regulations for exotic animal ownership, is an absolute honor. They have large grass habitats to run around and play with their enrichment toys. TCWR goes beyond rescuing these animals by using their stories to educate every guest on how they can help stop the exotic pet trade. Education and awareness is the key to ensure that these animals live the life they deserve, and I am honored to call TCWR my home and to be able to give these animals a voice.
