The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools Inc. is committed to bettering education in Lee County for all stakeholders through the various programs it supports. They build community partnerships to raise funds and supplies for teachers and students. As a recipient of the Golden Apple, I experienced their dedication to education first-hand through this recognition program. It was exciting for me to share my love of teaching with the community and shed such positive light on the profession, the district, and my students. The Foundation also supports future educators with college scholarships. This focus on teacher recruitment not only benefits the high school seniors who receive the scholarships, but it benefits many of Lee County's future students, as well. The individuals who operate The Foundation are selfless and dedicated to carrying out its mission.

The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools Inc. is a wonderful advocate for the importance of education within the community through teacher recognition programs such as The Golden Apple award and obtaining school supply donations so teachers do not have the burden of purchasing school supplies. Their support for education is a model that others should follow!
