I learned of Shadow Cats as part of a major rescue mission. SC stepped up and took in 20+ FeLuk cats and gave them a loving home, great care and a quality of life they would never have achieved.

When I first visited the Sanctuary, I was very impressed by the facility. It is designed to provide the cats the space for their individual needs. I still like watching the cats on the “Kitty-Cam!”

The heart of Shadow Cats has to be Shelia Smith, it’s founder, and Jackie Quayle, co-president. These women volunteer more than 40+ hours a week, all for the cause. Their belief in and commitment to the animals is inspiring. In addition, SC has a large pool of volunteers, that are just as committed, and regularly offer their services scooping, cleaning and given the cats the love and attention they deserve.
