Review for Global Links, Pittsburgh, PA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

This is truly one of the greatest nonprofits I have ever worked with. The duel mission of sharing medial surplus in a meaningful, responsible manner in oder to save lives was innovative 20 years ago when Global Links first started and remains at the cutting edge today. What this organization does is nothing short of miraculous, and every volunteer, donor, recipient, employee and board member knows that they are part of that miracle.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the impact the donations have made in the delivery of health care in other countries and the utmost respect the recipients have for Global Links.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

give it more publicity.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the quiet passion that is shared by everyone and the feeling of community.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

professional, caring, totally dedicated.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

change the world by expanding the number of health systems from which it recovers surplus, increase its programs into other countries and develop new ways to further its mission

Ways to make it better...

I could spend more time helping.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

funding. They do an amazing job with so little.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Global Links should be recognized as a superior non-profit. If funding could be steadily and reliably increased, Global Links could help work with more health systems here and abroad.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2009

Role:  Board Member & I am a volunteer, donor and board member. I have helped source materials, raise funds, and see the impact of donations overseas.
