Review for Pa Boxers, Lancaster, PA, USA
I am writing this review in support of all the dedicated and caring people who work for the PA Boxer rescue. We have adopted two boxers from this organization. The volunteers and foster parents have always been very accommodating to us. The first boxer we adopted was a special needs dog and was one of the BEST dogs we ever had. Shannon allowed us to visit several times prior to the adoption process to allow our current boxer to adapt to our new Buddy. She was extremely patient with all of our questions regarding his health and issued us all veterinary documents without hesitation. Also, she gave us a leash, collar, blanket, meds and food... more than generous. When Buddy who had a serious heart issue passed away, PA boxer rescue supported us during the grieving process, especially Shannon, counseling me through some sobbing sessions and then assisting us to heal by guiding us to a beautiful new female boxer puppy. Raising Boxers is no easy task, you need to be prepared for their energy, strength, and goofiness. Sometimes I feel people adopt and believe the tough part is over but you really need to be a dedicated parent to a Boxer...I disagree with the negative reviews I read on this site , I truly believe some people overestimate their abilities to care for a dog.
