I have been a cat companion volunteer at AWLA for almost 20 years. Some may wonder why I keep volunteering at AWLA. Many people who visit the shelter comment on how clean the shelter is and how well the shelter keeps the animals comfortable with lots of beds and toys. A genuine camaraderie between shelter staff and volunteers. AWLA now has many senior cats waiting for their forever homes. Please keep them in mind when thinking about adoption.
