Review for Global Links, Pittsburgh, PA, USA
5 stars is hardly enough to commend the work done by Global Links. I've had the pleasure of interning there over the past 4 months with the Country Programs officers and it's been such a rewarding experience. I've participated in many different ways, including: exploring new sources of funding, seeking donations of supplies and equipment, and translating documents. Everyone at Global Links is wholeheartedly committed to the mission and the positivity is infectious. It's truly a visionary concept and I'm very proud and grateful to have had to opportunity to contribute.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
everyday business. The positive impact made by Global Links is clearly visible in the work that's done there everyday. I've seen donations come in, I've seen volunteers sort through them and pack them up. I've seen the reports of the shipments going out. I've seen the photographs of the life-saving supplies and equipment reaching their destination and being put to good use.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
start up branches in other major U.S. cities to have a vast network of resources, information and of course medical supplies and equipment.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
SEEING the positive impact made by the work they do.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
incredible people. Everyone's passionate about the work they do and it's evident in the success of Global Links
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
save so many lives, improve international relations between the U.S. and they 9 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean in which they work, and raise more awareness in the U.S. about alternative ways to recycle our surplus materials and help others.
Ways to make it better...
I had more time to spend there.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
creating awareness and reaching people who don't already care about the environment and/or global health care.
