Volunteering with PMD is a great way to help a lot of different kinds of charities without having to make a long term commitment. If you get on their mailing list, you will get mail about once a week with a list of projects you can sign up for - everything from helping with an enviromental awareness street fair to assembling braille books to preparing and serving a meals at women's shelter.
