We in west central Dutchess County New York are now experiencing the construction of an
imense methane burning gas plant which is due to fire up late fall or early winter. Although
we live in a beautiful, bucolic , pastoral eden ,our air quality is already compromised . The activation of this plant will not be good .Some local people believe community action may
halt the activation of this plant that is finnanced by global investment . I believe the need
for this plant has to be replaced by the establishment of local energy production collectives.
