Sandy Hook promise is a wonderful, and sadly necessary program. As a mom, the Sandy Hook shooting hit me hard, broke my heart, and shook me to my core. It made my sons cry & fear they might die at school. I tried to comfort them saying they will be safe. My younger son looked at me, with his big terrified, teary eyes and said “you don’t know that mommy, you can’t promise it, nowhere is safe anymore,” he was absolutely right.
