Review for Beat the Streets, Inc, Antioch, CA, USA
I met Tracy Tate one raining day in 2006. I had ran away from home and was sitting in McDonald's and I did not have jacket. Tracy noticed that I was crying and came over and sat at the next table and started to engage in conversation with me. Through are conversation she made me think that home was the safest place for me even though I felt the rules were not fair. I called my mom and she waited there with me until my mom came. She even bought me something to eat. Tracy told me about Beat the Street and I started coming to their meeting and participating in their tutoring sessions. Her house is about 5 blocks from my son. On raining days when I had to stay late at school and my mom could not pick me up I would make arranges for someone from Beat the Streets to take me home.
