Review for GlobalGirl Media, Culver City, CA, USA
There is always that moment that I come back to in the old medina of Rabat shooting a video for World Press Photo, and out of nowhere, I had the feeling that I could do anything as long as I put in the time, energy, focus and don't give up.
Not giving up and putting in the work is what I learned during my time with GGM, it got me a long way from that young girl who was completely hopeless because of her broken family.
GGM played an important part in developing the grit I needed to get a scholarship for a master's degree in China, finding a good-paying job back in Morocco, and changing careers in a completely different country.
Right now, I work as a freelance web developer in France. I never studied software engineering at school, but one thing you learn at GGM is being an autodidact.
This is what GGM does: help us live to our full potential as young women, whatever our original circumstances are.
