I began working with Eden's Song Ministry close to 10 years ago when we would gather in Roy and Deb Killian's living room to put together midwife/birthing kits or backpacks for school children. When the space became to cramped we moved to their garage and now work in three rooms in the basement of a house which are donated by friends.

The midwife kits, which began with the bare necessities , now also contain toiletries for the new momma, diapers, receiving blanket, onesies and a couple of outfits for the baby.

The backpacks also began with the basics but now contain toiletries, age appropriate toys and bibles and very importantly, flip lops.

We have added washable feminine hygiene kits, women's totes and electronics which include refurbished laptops, e readers, i pods, Kindles and more.

Working with Eden's Song Ministry has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever been a part of. What a blessing to know that every midwife kit or backpack or feminine hygiene kit that I pack into a box is going to be shipped to an expectant mother who may have to have her child at home on a dirt floor instead of in a hospital. Or to a child who will now have the supplies to be able to stay in school. Or a teenage girl will now be able to stay in school instead of staying home from school because she has no feminine hygiene products.

The good problem we now have is a need for more space and more volunteers!
