I’ve been a supporter of Stand Up Girl.com for more than 20 years. I first learned of it, because of friends of mine who are scientists and on the board as volunteers. Since then, I’ve attended events and learned more from the organizers and the women who are helped. StandUpGirl does what it says- it helps women by providing lots of useful information online and personal guidance and comfort and compassion. I highly recommend it.

Stand up Girl is a nonprofit that has helped many young women, using peer-to-peer counseling over social media to listen to and advise about sexual and reproductive issues. I’ve heard the counselors and a few young women they have helped speak, and know this is highly effective. The website has lots of factual information, which make it a viable research source for students. Everything is founded in a Christian perspective that respects life as well as recognizing that the women they counsel may have various perspectives and difficult circumstances. I highly recommend everyone check out the website.
