Labrador Rescuers is a wonderful organization and they do so much for pups who need homes. They want the best for these pups so they have a few steps before someone gets approved to adopt. But because they are so organized and the volunteers so efficient and sensitive to the fact us adopters are anxious to bring home a new family member, the whole process went relatively quick and smooth. Everyone from the volunteer who came out to inspect our home, Nerice, to the fosters we were in contact with and ended up adopting from were such a pleasure to deal with and responded to our emails right away throughout the process! It wasn’t long at all after we found our adorable pup on the website that we had scheduled a meet & greet with the foster and fell in love with our little Izzy and we let our foster know we would love to adopt Izzy. Her foster kindly explained that she had another meet and greet for Izzy scheduled the next day and would be in touch with us after that. I honestly didn’t expect to hear back from her for a couple of days and we were quite anxious. But before noon the next day she got back to us and gave us the good news that Izzy was ours! We were over the moon and felt like we won the lottery! She told us we could take immediate possession and she is now part of our pack and thriving! Izzy’s fosters, Sandy and Tom, were amazing and you could tell they loved our little girl and were sad to see her go but happy she found a forever home. I can’t thank Sandy enough. She was awesome. She checked in with us just a couple days after we brought Izzy home and then a few days after that. She reassured us that she was there for us if we needed anything or had any questions or concerns. It gave us such peace of mind. If you are looking for a fantastic dog rescue to support or are interested in adopting a rescue dog, this rescue is as good as it gets!!
