I got involved back 2008 when hurricane Mitch came through Nicaragua and change the lives of so many. Bill and Alva Davidson were active members of WNP. They asked me if I would get on board to help collect supplies from our area from those who wanted to help. I said yes and be began the media campaign. We used our church as a collecting spot for all the different items that came in. Once we had collected everything it was time to pack it all in gaylord boxes and ship it off to the warehouse in Stevens Point. From that day on I have been doing what I can to get information out about WNP. I participate in the folk fair at the university, international folk fair in downtown Eau Claire, global market at first congregational church. I was just voted to sit on the board of directors for WNP. We as an organization has grown over the past 11 years as an organization doing the impossible.
