Review for Aikido in Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania, VA, USA
I had been in search of a martial art that was effective, yet non-aggressive. Aikido fits the bill exactly. If anyone tries to grab my children, they're probably in for quite a surprise. My children have the means to defend themselves but can not use that means to become bullies. Sensei Goldsmith routinely asks about the kids' school perfomance and cares after them beyond the dojo. In fact, there is a sense of belonging amongst all the students that sets AIF apart from other dojos. My son has high functioning autism and has problems with certain social situations. The caring instruction of the Sensei has helped him immensely to overcome some of his apprehension with folks. My daughter's confidence, self esteem, and physical agility have increased greatly, also.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
The hearts and minds of my children.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Move the dojo across the street from us so my kids could spend more time with their positive influence.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
that they really care for the students and their families.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
kind and courteous with a decent sense of humor.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
expand it's positive influence.
Ways to make it better...
they included free lotto tickets. My experience could not be better.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
that it may get too big and lose the personal touch they presently have. Not due to desire but due to the nature of over expansion.
