The LGBT Center of Raleigh is absolutely wonderful! Leaders from the center come to my high school and talk to over 100 students and 20 teachers at our annual Transgender Awareness Luncheon about trans experiences, respect, and resources. I have now started volunteering at the center and it’s an amazing experience! The atmosphere is so welcoming and kind; anyone knows they have a place there no matter what challenges they may be experiencing in their daily lives. The center gives people a place to be themselves and is vital in a usually red state!
